New York City Petition
Attention All NY CITY Voters!

  • We support the current NYC Term Limits Law.
  • We oppose any efforts to change these limits.
  • The current term limits represent the will of the people of New York City.
  • NYC Voters upheld the current law in two referendums, providing an overwhelming majority.

New York State Petition
For All NY STATE Voters to Sign
  • We believe that members of the New York State Legislature and the Executive Branch of government should not able to serve more than Eight years in office.
  • New York State's current government, which has been described as "dysfunctional," is run by professional politicians who have demonstrated that they are incapable of effectively governing  the Empire State.
  • To break the stranglehold of NY State's "lifetime" legislators, we believe there should be an Eight year limit on the amount of time that legislators serve in the same office.
  • Just as eight years is long enough for the President of the United States, it is long enough for members of the Senate, Assembly, and Executive branch.

What Do You Think?
Do you support NY Term Limits?

Break the Hold!

In two elections, over One Million New Yorkers voted in favor of placing a Two-Term Limit on City Council members and other elected offices. Councilman Oliver Koppell now wants to overturn the people's Term Limits Law, and disregard the people's will.

Koppell plans to prevent New Yorkers from voting on the matter. Please tell Koppell to keep his hands off New York's Term Limits Law! Here are FOUR ways you can act:

1) Email Koppel Now: koppell@council.nyc.ny.us
2) Call Koppell & Speak Your Piece: 212-788-7078!
3) Call New York's Council Speaker Quinn @ 212 788-7210!
4) Sign the New York Term Limit Petition HERE!
